Adoption Services of Spokane

After about two years of infertility, we decided to go the route of adoption.  The process of bringing a baby home seemed to take forever as we watched friends and family; get pregnant, have gender reveals, go to the hospital, and bring home their baby. But we patiently waited.

Summer of 2024 was nearing its end, and we had a few things planned before wrapping up. We finished our four-day camp trip and came home on a Sunday afternoon.  Monday morning, we drove to Idaho to finalize the paperwork for the purchase of our new boat.  We were backing our new boat into the driveway when we received a call from the agency to come to the hospital; the call we had been waiting for.  Quite surprised by the events of the day, we dropped the boat, loaded up the other car, and headed to the hospital.  While the adrenaline raced through us both, one of our conversations was “Wow, we envisioned this day going much differently, but we are so excited!”

We spent about two weeks at the NICU with quite a few tests, and uncertainties.  This part was hard, but well worth the many trips back and forth.  Mark Iverson and his associates were helpful throughout this process while we navigated something very new to us.  They were available the day we went to the hospital and clearly communicated with us up to the day of our court date.  Our official adoption day was easy and personal. We are very happy with the agency and legal services provided. We also couldn’t be happier with the new addition to our family!
