Our love story began over six years ago when we met in person, at a taphouse, shared pepperoni pizza, and won at pub trivia on our first date, and we have spent nearly every day together since. The spark was instantaneous. It was like meeting the only other person on the planet who speaks your language. We feel so lucky to have found each other. Not everyone gets to marry their best friend! We have been happily married for over three years.

Together, we love to travel, host big brunches for friends and family, see our favorite musicians live in concert, and challenge each other to strategy board games. We are equal parts active and couch potatoes. We are just as happy taking a weekend trip to the city to explore museums and try new restaurants as we are to have a cozy family movie night in with our dogs.

Even before we knew we wanted to raise children together, adoption has always been an important part of our lives. Lisa’s big sister and closest cousin came into her life through adoption. Joel’s grandpa was also adopted. Adoption has shaped both of our families’ lives in so many beautiful ways.

From beach trips with the puppies, to big holiday celebrations with the whole family, and so many trips to Disneyland together that we’ve lost count, the life we have built together is so beautiful and full of love and laughter. We have so much unconditional love, support, family traditions, and time to share with your child.
