Our Adoption Profile
Kelli & Benjamin
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you again for reading our book. We hope it tells you a little bit about us. You are prayed for by us as well as family and friends who are supporting us in our adoption journey. Although we do not know you, you are intimately known by God.

About Us
Hello,
Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn a little about us. Since we began our family journey, we have prayed for all the birth mothers who might read this letter. The decisions you are facing are not for the faint of heart. We admire your strength, courage, and will continue to pray as you learn more about us and if adoption is right for you.
We both grew up in Eastern Washington state in agricultural areas. Kelli loved the rolling hills of wheat surrounding her house, and Ben enjoyed working in sweet smelling apple orchards and not so sweet smelling animal farms. We met in 2010 while attending the same Christian college in Idaho. Four years later, we were married on a rainy December day.
When we were ready to start our family, we never would have guessed how difficult it would be. We have seen multiple doctors, completed a series of IUI treatments, and have had lots of blood tests. After a time of healing after a miscarriage, we decided that God was leading us to a path of adoption.
Our daughter, Melody, was born in June 2022, and we officially adopted her a few months later. We have loved every day with her and look forward to seeing her play with a future brother or sister.
While we wait for our family to grow more, we stay focused on what the Lord has for us in this season of life. We live in the Spokane area in Washington. We love our home and enjoy lots of visits from both our parents who live close by. Ben leads the worship at the church we have attended for the last eight years. He occasionally steps away from leading worship to play the drums. Ben loves fishing and has a little skiff of a boat that he takes to several lakes near our home.
Kelli spent the last eight years teaching elementary school, but stepped back from full-time teaching to stay home with Melody. She has enjoyed teaching piano lessons and teaching kids reading in the evenings. In the summertime, Kelli loves to take Melody and meet her cousin, niece, and nephew at a nearby lake to play in the water then get ice cream afterwards. Kelli’s ultimate hobby is wrapping up in a cozy blanket on a big L-shaped couch to read a novel.
