About Us

A Little About Us

After meeting through a mutual friend, becoming friends, and then dating for a few years, we were married in July of 2013. Our families were both very supportive of our union; in fact, we have joked that our families like our spouse more than their own children! We were both raised in Christian homes, and feel as though religion has played a large role in creating our system of values.

Our relationship has been strengthened by life’s ups and downs, and is full of laughter, hard work, and respect for one another. We are grateful for each day together, and look forward to sharing our loving home and family with a child. We know this relationship is the foundation of our future family and have worked hard to ensure it is strong through finding joy in each day and appreciating one another.

We knew before being married that we would like to have children and were aware of infertility issues. Ultimately, we are unable to biologically have children and believe that adoption is the best choice for us to build a family. Being parents is something we have always wanted and we know we are ready for this opportunity.

A Little About Dillon (Written by Nicole)

Dillon grew up on a large ranch, and loves being outdoors whether hiking, hunting, exploring, foraging, farming, or logging. He is a fourth-generation logger, comes from a family full of loggers, and enjoys his profession. He works on jobs relatively close to our home, and is a hard worker.

Dillon is always willing to lend a helping hand. He is quite handy, tackling projects from remodeling and fixing vehicles, to building things around the house and garden.

While he is very quiet in groups of people and can be shy, he loves to make others happy. He is very reliable, easy-going, and flexible.

Dillon is an amazing uncle to our nieces and nephews; he is patient and kind and so good at teaching them. He also loves animals but especially his Australian Shepard/Heeler mix named “Scout”

A Little About Nicole (Written by Dillon)

Nicole has been a teacher since 2010, teaching both elementary and middle school classes. She loves to teach and be around kids, and often when we are out around town, Nicole’s students recognize her and are quick to say “hi!”

She is always moving and doesn’t ever seem to sit still for long! Nicole has a great eye for design and remodeling, and likes to work on (and add new things to) our list of projects. She enjoys gardening, working in our yard, huckleberry picking, baking (yes, she’s in on the sourdough craze) and taking care of our animals.

She’s selfless, always taking care of everyone else and ensuring others are happy. Spending time with family is one of her favorite things to do. She is not just an aunt to our nieces and nephews; they know she is their number one fan. She supports them in all of their activities, school, church, and sports.

Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to review our profile. We wish you the best with this big decision and throughout the future. We are hopeful to meet you someday.

We can’t wait to share our lives with a child, and we will honor the incredible gift you are considering giving. Our hearts are open, and our greatest hope is to provide a home filled with love, stability, and endless support for them. We will always cherish and respect the story of how they came into the world and the love that led them to us. Honoring the child’s identity and roots is very important to us, and they will always know where they came from—a place of deep love. If it is your wish, we would be honored to maintain a connection and share in a relationship that respects and values you as an important part of their life story.

Whatever your decision, please know that you are seen, valued, and appreciated beyond words. No matter what, you are a loving parent making the best choice for a child, and that is an act of pure love.
