Assistance with Food and Housing
Are you in need of assistance with applying for basic food benefits (food stamps), housing vouchers, and/or WIC? Adoption Services of Spokane may assist you with applying for these resources available to you in your community.
Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program
WIC is for pregnant people, new and breast and chest feeding parents, infants and children under the age of 5. We may assist you with locating a WIC clinic near you, assist you with completing the application, and help you schedule a meeting with WIC to see if you qualify and set up WIC services. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and called Basic Food in Washington Program
SNAP/Basic Food Program in Washington offers food assistance for low-income households to supplement their grocery budget. We may assist you with seeing if you are eligible, help you apply, and schedule your interview with DSHS. To Learn More Visit: Basic Food | DSHS
Washington Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs)
The Washington Emergency Housing Voucher program provides individuals who qualify with short-term rental assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or facing high risk of housing instability. In order to apply, you’ll need to contact your local Coordinated Entry System. The EHVs are a tool used by Public Housing Authorities in their local housing programs.
